Higger Tor

Higger Tor in the Peak District. There was a lovely soft hazy sunset on this warm April evening. These shots were taken during a 12 mile walk from The Fox House pub to the far end of Stanage Edge.

Derwent Edge April 2011

Derwent Edge in April 2011. This was an amazing Sunday with temperatures around 20c. This has to be one of the most scenic places in the Peak District.

Not the best light at midday but the weak sun brought out some lovely colours .

One of the main industries of the East Moors was quarrying, including the creation of millstones as shown in 2 of these photos.
