Higger Tor

Higger Tor in the Peak District. There was a lovely soft hazy sunset on this warm April evening. These shots were taken during a 12 mile walk from The Fox House pub to the far end of Stanage Edge.

Welcome..

Hi and welcome to my Photography blog.
Photography has been an interest of mine for many years and I'm recently drawn to landscapes in the Peak District and its surrounding areas. It's hard to believe that we have this stunning countryside on our doorstep, which most of us take for granted. Sometimes all that is needed is to park the car and venture down paths or up hills to see these stunning scenes.

For the Techies out there these photos were taken using a Canon EOS600D which is an entry level digital SLR. I use a Sigma 18-75mm lens and only use Neutral Density filters and a polorizing filter for bringing details out in the sky.
